Affordable Power
The 2022 Chevy Equinox has updated its engine so that there is only one choice. This choice still offers a smooth ride with 170 horsepower on the 1.5L four-cylinder engine.
On the higher trim levels, the powertrain offers switchable all-wheel drive. You can choose between four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive depending on road conditions to keep you stable and give you ease of driving.
According to Chevrolet, the Chevy Equinox four-wheel-drive powertrain has an estimated 26 MPG while driving throughout Cary to go shopping or to the grocery store. But if you are on a road trip, you do not have to worry about stopping too often for gas with an estimated 31 MPG of highway driving. This will save you money on gas.
Upgraded Interior Looks
This SUV does not skimp on its interior looks and features. The 63.9 cubic feet of overall cargo space with rear seats folded flat gives you enough space to buy a new lawnmower and have enough room to carry it back to your home in Morrisville. The seats also have plenty of features that make them more than just the chairs you sit on to get from point A to point B. The heating function helps out with that one week of winter North Carolina tends to get that we are never prepared for. The cloth seating provides comfort to you and your passengers after a long day, but you can level up the upholstery to leather. The leather would make it easier to clean but also give it a tougher look.
Smart Technology
Enjoy music and media apps on the standard seven-inch color touchscreen that also gets you information about your drive and vehicle. With this touchscreen, you can find your destination or even a new one with the touch of a screen. You can also use this touchscreen to make a phone call. Whether you need to call your destination to make sure they have what you are looking for or are calling a friend to tell them you are on your way to pick them up, you can do it hands-free and safely as long as you use the touchscreen before you start driving. These touchscreens also have the ability to wirelessly connect your smartphone to them so that it can download your applications and information.
The touchscreen is also where you will have control over the available Wi-Fi hotspot. This is a one-month trial, but you can add it on if you find that driving through Raleigh is easier and more peaceful when your passengers can entertain themselves on their phones.
Along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the touchscreen can connect to your Amazon Alexa. This lets you listen to your favorite audiobook as you drive, but you can also start the SUV from inside your home as you are getting ready to leave.
Safety and Security in North Carolina
Technology brings fun, but it also can work to keep you and your passengers unharmed while driving in different situations. Newly available for the 2022 lineup is the front and rear park assist feature. This makes both parking and pulling out of a parking spot safer when the cameras can capture and alert you when you are close to any vehicles or objects in front or behind you. The rear sear reminder will not let your back passengers open the doors if it detects a vehicle driving beside you. This will keep your passengers from getter hit but will also keep the doors from getting damaged.
The safety features are more than just what happens while you are driving the vehicle. Chevrolet offers different warranty options that will keep you safe. The Roadside Assistance and Available Transportation comes in handy if you pop a tire or the battery will not start as you drive along Clayton. You will get help for five years or up to 60,000 miles.
