Performance
In the new Chevrolet Trax, you'll release plenty of drive from the 1.4-liter turbocharged ECOTEC?? four-cylinder that relies on Multiport Fuel Injection and Variable Valve Timing to produce 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. An assist from the six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive gets you an EPA-estimated 31 MPG on the highway and 26 MPG in the city. An All-Wheel Drive is also available when you want maximum traction under all kinds of weather and on all types of terrain.
The StabiliTrak electronic stability control system can adjust the brakes and engine torque, so you maintain optimum control on Cary roads, especially during emergency maneuvers. It engages when the sensors detect a deviation between your intended and actual path. It also includes Traction Control, which counters slipping wheels by reducing engine power or applying brake pressure, and Brake Assist, which can detect how hard you're hitting the brake pedal and adds additional brake pressure, if needed.
Design
The athletic exterior of the new Chevrolet Trax has also been smoothed out to optimize aerodynamics and improve mileage. The acoustic laminated windshield dampens unwanted exterior noise so that you can enjoy a quiet cabin when driving around Morrisville. LEDs are available for the taillights and Daytime Running Lamps for energy-saving and quick illumination. Front fog lamps can light the way during inclement weather. Roof-mounted side rails and roof-rack cross rails let you carry more cargo than what is available from the spacious interior. The five seats can give way to more hauling capacity if you fold down the rear seatbacks. Upholstery options include cloth, Deluxe Cloth, or leatherette.
Technology
Stay connected to friends in Clayton, NC in the new Chevrolet Trax by using the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. It merges your compatible smartphone through Apple CarPlay?? and Android Auto™ so that you can make phone calls, listen to text messages, and access specific apps to reserve a table, find a parking spot, or book a hotel. Through SiriusXM with 360L, you can choose from over 200 satellite channels that include ad-free music, comedy, celebrity talk, and live sports. Enhancing your music is the Bose?? premium audio system with seven speakers.
The large and colorful in-dash screen reveals turn-by-turn directions from available Connected Navigation while avoiding congestion with Internet-based traffic and road closure information. You can keep your hands on the wheel when entering a destination or points of interest by using your voice. Available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi?? lets up to seven devices connect up to the Internet at the same time. Use Marketplace to engage in business with your favorite merchants.
