Our Certified Pre-Owned models: Used cars that act like they're new

If you're looking for a used car, you don't have to settle for just a used car. Chevy Certified Pre-Owned vehicles: Better from the start

At John Hiester Chevrolet, only the best of our pre-owned Chevy models, like the Silverado 1500, are eligible to be considered for our Certified Pre-Owned program. They have to be less than six years old and they must have less than 75,000 miles on the odometer. What's more, they must have a clean title. That means the car has never been in an accident severe enough to be a "total loss" and it's never been a fleet vehicle. In other words, these are the cream of the crop. 

Our CPO inspection: We get tough on each car 172 times

A potential CPO vehicle doesn't get the CPO title just because it's nicer, newer and looks great. It then has to pass our demanding 172-point inspection. We look for weaknesses all over the car and make sure every crucial component is in good working order. We check the engine, the transmission, the brakes, the battery, the tires, the inside, the outside, even the windshield wipers. If a car doesn't check all the boxes, it won't become a CPO vehicle.

CPO warranty #1: Bumper-to-bumper

Once a pre-owned Chevy model has proven it's good enough to be designated a CPO vehicle, it gets two warranties and the first is a comprehensive Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty. This coverage extends whatever is left of the new car warranty by an extra 12 months or or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. What's more, there's no deductible for covered repairs. This Chevy warranty covers just about everything on the vehicle.

CPO warranty #2: The powertrain

Just about the only major thing not covered by the Chevy CPO Bumper-to-Bumper warranty is the powertrain and with a CPO vehicle, you get a separate warranty for that. The Chevy Certified Pre-Owned Limited Powertrain Warranty extends the new vehicle warranty for up to six years from the delivery date of the vehicle when it was new – or up to 100,000 miles on the odometer, whichever comes first. Once again, there's no deductible. Amazing.

During the first six years or 100,000 miles of your extended Limited Powertrain Warranty, you'll be covered by 24-hour Roadside Assistance. So if you ever run into trouble on the road with something like a flat tire, you're not in trouble at all. Just contact our roadside assistance to get a no-charge jump start or a tow to an eligible repair shop. We also provide complimentary factory-recommended maintenace for two years or 24,000 miles.
