I traded my 2021 Traversein for a Ford, because your servicedepartmentsucksand nobodywill do anything about it. I will never buy another Chevy unless I can find a reputable service department. You are the only one that has serviced this truck since new in 2020. I took it in for service and asked about the transmission fluid, since no one had ever mentioned it. Just to be told it should be flushed at about 40 to 60,000 miles. Not happy with you guys at all, considering it took me to ask and my truck has 87,000 on it. Me as a customer should not have to ask what service is due or is coming due. I have a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper and I figured out back in 2021 that you just wait until the warranty runs out to save money. I also bought the rim and tire warranty, thinking you would fix a tire or replace it with the same size i bought it with. We'll, I was dead wrong. I waisted my money that you wont return, even though its your fault. I bought my Rocky Ridge new with 22x35 Micky Thompsons and when i got a flat, i was told you could only put a 20 on it. This dealership and service is such a rip off!! You are lucky to get 2 stars.

We had ordered a 2025 Traverse and it was late on a Friday when it arrived at the dealer. Initially we thought we not be able to take delivery until the following Wednesday but our Saturday morning opened up so we headed to Hiester Chevrolet. Our sales person wasn't there but the sales manager made things happen and we were able to get our Traverse a few days early. The folks at Hiester have been great to us and this is our third Chevy with Hiester.

Hernan made sure all of my warrantee issues were addressed, however, I just washed and waxed my truck, and it must have been left out overnight in the rain and wind and was dirty when I got it back the next day.

Started having some problems that Sunday morning with my truck so I reached out to Mr Damon Locklear to set up an appointment for Tuesday and he spoke with the service department and they worked me in. I had to drive a good distance and what was done cost me but if I see that I can trust someone to do the right thing than it's worth the trip. Mr Locklear knows me and what I expect, so he is a person that looks out for the customer and represents the company well. He told me everything the mechanic did to figure out and fix the problem. Until I see anything different I will continue to make the long drive. Thanks to the mechanic also.

On Monday, March 17th, I arrived at approximately 3pm to start the process of purchasing a new car, something I had not done since April, 2009. Your dealership is located 15-20 minutes from where I live. I was greeted by and talked with salesperson Amoura Copney about my desire to purchase a 2025 Malibu. Amoura was very focused and attentive to my thoughts about wanting to purchase a Malibu. With a very pleasant, professional demeanor, she explained to me the features on a Malibu and then checked to see if there were any available Malibus on your lot and there was one. The test drive was very enjoyable. The 2025 Malibu drives and handles well. The entire time spent toward buying a new car was very positive. My car had an unusual problem according to GM. It took 10 days to solve it. This is a 2020 Corvette with 7000 miles on it. It took several phone calls to GM to get a solution along with $2000 of my money. Turns out the problem was a window switch short that had the mirrows movement confused. Most of that money went to the tech for labor. Way too much for the problem. I'll go elsewhere rather than pay this amount again.

I'm tired of getting over-charged by this dealership. I came in for a $49 oil change which was an offer emailed to me by dealership. I get there & find out the promo didn't apply to my truck. Ok, I only have a Tahoe & that's the only vehicle you've ever seen me with there but fine. You periodically mail me $69 oil change offers & that was still a good offer. Then, I have had a constant scrapping or sound of something lose in my front passenger-side wheelwell. I knew I had a Free 30-min diagnostic to check that out. And 30 mins, is plenty of time to look at the obvious problem & diagnose it. So, my invoice has a $97.50 charge then, a $97.50 credit. Then, another $97.50 charge. On top of that, a $12.25 shop supplies fee. I'm done with Hiester & Good Luck during a recession with your shifty service practices. And, can you make the invoices any more confusing & deceptive - I don't think so?

I took my car in on April 9th for a routine oil change and tire rotation, requesting a check on the tire pressure due to a low reading (28-29). Despite the services being performed, the low pressure issue persisted. Following a conversation with a staff member who suggested a possible faulty sensor, I scheduled a return appointment. On April 15th, it was discovered that a nail in the sidewall was the culprit, necessitating a tire order. I returned on April 16th to have the new tire fitted. While I appreciate the service and commend the staff, I believe this issue could have been detected initially during the tire rotation, pressure check, and leak inspection on April 9th. I regard this as an oversight and plan to be more proactive and detailed in my future appointments.

Everyone was super nice and the work was done in less than 1 hour. It was my first visit since buying a vehicle and the only concerns were that I thought the vehicle would get washed, etc. I also was told by the salesman Max that I had 2500 points (even though I bought a certified preowned truck). When I went to redeem the points, they told me I was wrong that it didn't apply to my vehicle. So, my first impressions of service after "the deal" are not very good.

I didn’t really like the fact that I had mentioned recommended services when I scheduled the appointment and was told that I didn’t need them only to be told after my oil change and tire rotation that the same services I recommended was recommended to me! I could have dropped my vehicle off to get everything done at once but now I’m inconvenienced by having to come back for a whole separate visit!

Had appointment at 8:30am for simple oil change, tire rotation and top off fluid’s. Vehicle wasn’t ready til after 11am. The Service Department was behind from the get go. I believe I should have been informed of this and I could have made arrangements and not missed a appointment I had at 10:30am. However, all’s good! First time in many years this has happened. I needed four new tires. During another recent service appointment, Hannah of the Express Desk provided me with several options after consulting with the Service Department. I made my choice using her information. Upon my arrival for my appointment, the John Heister staff met me at the service bay and took control. They were aware that I needed a shuttle ride and my wait for it was short. I called after a few hours and they were able to give me and update. Not being an expert, the tires look good and I am pleased.

I wasn’t completely satisfied with my service. I was given a call after my vehicle was diagnosed and explained what the problem was. I gave the ok to fix the problem and paid $1995. After I picked up the vehicle I drove down to the Fuquay post office and on my way home the check engine light came right back on. I drove back to the dealership and now I’m told it’s given a different code. Truly I’m just not understanding is that even possible or a way to get more money out of the customer. So no I’m not satisfied with my service.

Dropped off vehicle requested oil change as well as a couple other concerns with vehicle asked about brake special and was told no one used that one,so I declined that service and told service writer just do oil change this time.I was told I was responsible for a diagnostics fee and I was okay with that. When I came to pick up vehicle and paid fee on the service record the oil change never was done.I have tried to use this dealership but won't be back.One other issue I see as well I never have the same service writer since trying to get my vehicle serviced here. They claim they are family but it seems they are not.

Overall, the experience was great. I would like to continue to bring my car here for service. That being said, i brought it in for an alignment (steering wheel was off to the right) and other work. When i got it back after only wanting to do the AC repairs that were warranty this time, the wheel was off to the left. Was it as bad, no. They mentioned the cam bolts were froze, i said i would pay for them and bring the truck back when they came in, they still aligned it and no cam bolts were on the ticket. Having worked as a tech, some things get to you from having done the work before and i understand there are busy times and such. I just wanted it done right and i would say it was 90% right with great communication from the service advisors/writers.

I brought my 21 Trail Boss in for an oil change, transmission service, and 4X4 service. I was shown some pricing on a computer screen, but the advisor told me that the prices on his computer were not accurate and I would be charged more. No reason was given. I knew what two other dealerships charged for the same service, so I was not worried. The bill came in at over $1700 for what should have been a $1000 fee. Your service advisors should be fired and I'll not darken your doorway with my business ever again.

My tire light came on three days before I contacted Mr Locklear to see if I could get an appointment my job let me off early that Thursday so I reached out to see if they could work out something. I told them I could be there by 2:30 pm and would wait. They called me back and said to come on in. When I got there Ms April (58364) checked me in. I got a text saying if I needed anything to reach out to her. She came back later to inform me that they had started checking to see what the problem was and returned later to let me know what it was, asked if I wanted some water. She was very professional and caring.

People might think a service done by a dealership would cost a fortune. I know John Hiester Chevrolet in Fuquay Varina is not one of them. I had my 2015 Tahoe oil change done there and it was $78, which was less than what Jiffy Lube charges. And they do multipoint inspections free of charge. Nice and trustable place to get a service done!

The staff were extremely engaging and supportive. This experience replicated my BMW experiences when I purchased my wife an automobile which I thought was the best. I have purchased many cars from a competing dealership, and now I have no reason to return to that dealership. I am now a Hiester Family member thanks to the New Car Sales Manager ("Malik"), Sales Representative ("Abe"), Finance Manager ("Paula") and the staff associates (including "Gabe") that made my visit memorable. When I returned to gain more insight on the truck features, the product specialist, Paul, was awesome. I could easily name five more individuals who made our (wife and myself) car buying experience extremely wonderful. If "anyone" of the staff members were rude, I doubt that my arrival for a tube of touch-up paint would have ended up in me buying a ZR2 and missing another scheduled appointment. I initially visited Hiester just to get an appraisal on my 2017 Tahoe with no intention of buying that day. But after spending some time with the team—especially Josh—I felt completely comfortable exploring trade-in options and taking a look at what was available. Josh really made the experience a great one. He listened closely to my needs, understood the plan I had in mind, and never made me feel pressured to buy. We were planning to shop later this fall, but Josh took the time to show me several options, walk me through the pros and cons, and ultimately helped make the timing feel right. I was firm on the price point, and instead of pushing back, the team went to work to make it happen. That meant a lot. Addi was also extremely helpful throughout the process. He clearly brings a wealth of knowledge and supported Josh seamlessly. You could tell the two of them—and the entire team—work really well together. There’s something to be said about a dealership where the culture feels aligned and the people genuinely enjoy working with each other. Aside from buying new instead of used, the entire experience exceeded expectations. No pressure, great communication, and a team that truly cared about getting it right. I’d absolutely recommend Hiester if you’re in the market for a vehicle.

I would like to express my gratitude for such an awesome car buying experience that I had recently at John Hiester Chevrolet in Fuquay Varina NC. The night prior to my arrival, I had already looked at the vehicle inventory and picked out a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse High Country. My wife and I had already gotten pre-approved for the vehicle and checked for its availability. We went to the dealership in two separate cars. I pulled up and started looking at some of the used vehicles that were in stock, while my wife had parked near the main entrance to the dealership. I didn't really know where to look to find the vehicle that I had seen, but within five to ten minutes, I was approached by a highly professional salesman named, Josh Johnson. Josh could tell that I needed his assistance and I showed him the vehicle that I had saved on my phone. He immediately told me that it was on the other side of the lot. I drove and parked near my wife, and Josh walked with us to the vehicle. He began to speak with us about a few of the features and asked if we wanted to take it for a test drive. Josh went and retrieved the key to the vehicle along with a license plate. We took the vehicle on a test drive and loved the driving experience that we had. Upon arriving back at the dealership we parked and went inside to begin the paperwork. Josh then explained that he had only been on the job for two weeks. My wife and I told him that we couldn't tell, due to his high level of professionalism, knowledge, etc... Josh was very personable and took the time to answer all of our questions. The questions that he didn't know, he sought help from another salesman named, Abdelaty Saleh. Abdelaty was very engaging, personable, and professional as well. He walked Josh through all of the steps to complete the paperwork for processing. He then proceeded to take my wife and I back out to the vehicle to demonstrate even more features of the vehicle. From our interaction with them both, we were more than impressed and very pleased. Gabe Abreu, Sales Manager, was someone that I had met back in 2008 when I purchased a Chevrolet Tahoe from the former Darryl Burke Chevrolet. He came over and answered any questions that my wife and I had. Seeing him there along with our interaction with Josh and Abdelaty strengthened the Chevrolet family feel that we had/have. The icing on the cake was meeting Dan Burnham, Finance Manager, who explained all of the details of the loan in a very professional but personable way. Meeting all of these professionals and having them to assist us with our purchase, made this a very stress-free experience. I highly recommend John Hiester Chevrolet to anyone who is in the market for any Chevrolet, GMC vehicle.

Had to make a 4th appointment for the same problem now. Issue is still not fixed. Had new tires, mount and balance, alignment and front struts done in may. Since then, there’s a terrible vibration in the front end. First visit service department said the wheels (brand new) weren’t balanced correctly. 2nd appt, the front rims were bent, but can’t fix them for 2 weeks. 3rd visit, front rims were repaired. Still didn’t fix the issue. This is the 4th trip to the service department next week. Tired of taking time off work to deal with this. Also, dealer expressed an issue with the brand new tires wearing unevenly because of the wobble, but refuses to cover them. So I’m stuck with cupping tires that are damaged because of something the dealer did, but can’t seem to figure out. I will say that Rachel with the service department is always awesome and deserves a raise. She is very pleasant and easy to communicate with.

I have purchased 1 truck and 2 cars from Hiester and always had my vehicles serviced at the dealership. This last service will be my last. I didn't appreciate the attitude from the service desk person Amari. And the nerve to charge $100 to read the code from a light that came up on my dashboard? Autozone, Aamco, etc perform that simple service for free. And on my Vehicle Inspection, it was checked off that tires were checked. My front left was still low by 4 lbs,

Now, to the main point of this message: the outstanding service we received this week at your Fuquay location. I first connected with Shane Sollenberger, who then introduced me to Paul McMahon. Paul was absolutely excellent—honest, attentive, and patient. He answered all my questions without pressure, helped us find a better vehicle that met my wife’s needs, and even showed us cars he knew we probably wouldn’t buy—just to ensure we were fully comfortable with our options. Ultimately, we purchased a 2026 Trailblazer. Paul stayed late to complete the deal, handling my curveballs with professionalism and ease. When it came time for financing, we worked with James Coble, who was fast, informative, and just as pleasant. He also stayed late, happy to work with us, even when we decided last-minute to finance through another credit union. The following day, when we returned to finalize paperwork, Paul had already left for the evening, but Ruy Barbosa assisted us. Ruy was another standout—positive, professional, and genuinely joyful about his work. He spoke highly of Paul, James, yourself, and the dealership. He took care of us quickly and left us with another great impression. In today’s world, it seems easier to find complaints than compliments, so I wanted to make sure I shared this very positive experience with you. Your Fuquay team—Shane, Paul, James, and Ruy—treated us better than any dealership I’ve ever worked with. Their honesty, character, and professionalism stood out, and I sincerely hope they are recognized for it. I’ve been to several other dealerships and they all do the same thing. They have a an extra sticker with “dealer add ons”. It’s $250 worth of junk nobody wants that they mark up to $3500. You have to haggle for half an hour just to work back to msrp. Hiester doesn’t do that nonsense. There were two add ons, both things I wanted, and both fairly priced. Along with a 5k dealer cash back, and we were already at my price. No nonsense.

I am so pleased to share my experience of my search for my next vehicle which I purchased on Friday, September 12, 2025, from John Hiester Chevrolet - location N. Main Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC. I was looking online again and again searching for just the right automobile for me. My search of inventory for my next vehicle was smooth sailing. I entered the F-V Hiester Chevrolet dealership when they opened at 9 a.m. I was greeted by the young lady ar the front desk. I didn't have an appointment, but in just a few minutes I was approached and greeted by a wonderful Sales Person - Clay Newsome, and from that moment, I was very aware that I was in the right place at just the right time. Clay Newsome and I discussed the type of vehicle and options available that were of interest to me and the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. I decided that the stylish white 2025 Chevrolet Trax was to be my next automobile. Then it was "smooth sailing" for Clay Newsome to take care of all the necessary steps to make my purchase of "my 2025 Chevrolet 4-door Trax" a reality. Just a quick note - the dealership was taking care of customers all over the place which was very impressive and was a display of professionalism that one would expect at this dealership. Well! After all that happened during this business transaction with Clay Newsome efficiently handling all aspects of my purchase, I drove away from the John Hiester Chevrolet F-V dealership - before lunchtime - in "my white 2025 Chevrolet Trax" to explore all of the "bells and whistles" and enjoy my driving experiences for many days to come. Here we go again…expecting things to go smoothly and properly, but no, the incompetence continues. I’ll spare you from hearing how badly my experience here was 5 years ago….i will tell you that you have improved since then, hence the 2 stars. At least this time you fixed the car (kinda) and it only took 2 days. When I picked up my car after the repair was completed, my wife who was driving in front of me called me to tell me my headlight was out. I almost turned around and brought the car back but thought about it and realized that would be inconvenient, having to leave my car again. Also knowing how poor my experience was last time, I figured I would pop the hood and look for myself. Sure enough, I found the passenger headlight wasn’t plugged in. I plugged it in and all is fine. Clearly it was unplugged during the fan replacement and was neglected to be plugged back in. Nice attention to detail guys. What else did you not tighten or not put back together properly? Who knows…it’s a mystery I suppose. Should you trust your car to be serviced or repaired properly here? I doubt it….based on my experiences, not a chance. Do better Hiester…

I like everything about JH Chevy, except the technology used for customer interactions. I get texts saying, "Welcome..." - which are expected. The same text messages say, "Reply with any questions you may have." I reply with a question that goes unanswered. I get an estimate shortly after you intake my vehicle, and am told that the estimate is not valid. Tech is hard to do right. But if you do it wrong anyway, it's a big hot mess. My advice is to dial back on the tech until you understand it more fully. You have good people there. Don't mess them up with tech done wrong.

This was the 2nd time my vehicle was brought in for brake system failure. Both times we were driving the vehicle and had to go off the road to stop. The first time it was brought in Damian was the advisor. He told us there was a bulletin out about the break system failure. We asked for a copy of the bulletin but Damian couldn’t produce it. He called us the next day to apologize and tell us there was no bulletin. He had lied to us. When we were almost killed for the 2nd time and had to run off the road, we wanted the part replaced. Damian told us he wasn’t sure that would happen. My vehicle was dropped off on a Wednesday. We were told on Thursday the cylinder would need to be replaced. We were told the part would need to be ordered. Manically, they found the part at the dealership and we should be able to pick up the vehicle late on Thursday. Late Thursday,Damian called to tell us there was a vehicle won’t be ready until Friday. Meanwhile, looking at my Chevy app, my car hadn’t moved since dropping it off. Friday afternoon came, when we called to check if it was ready, no one could give us an answer. We went to the dealership at 5:30 to pick up my vehicle. No one seemed to know what was going on with it. Finally, we were told Damian wanted to speak with us. I was tiered from work and hungry. I just wanted to get my car so I could go home. Damian proceeded to tell us how he had to call someone to get it covered under our extended warranty, how he had to let the cylinder bleed out for 3 hours, and how he was doing us a favor and will cover the $50 copay. Since I already know he lies, I don’t believe a word he says. I don’t need to hear his sob story since it is his job to do. He tried delaying us as much as possible. If we hadn’t gone to the dealership ourselves, he would have kept the vehicle all weekend long. Damian was rude and I don’t want him near my vehicle again. You have him to thank for this review.

This was the 4th service for the engine light problem in 2025. 6 days for diagnostic and performing not wanted additional service for 300 additional USD. What else can I say. After 24 hrs., the car is still working fine. I think the service is okay and my expectations are just too high.

For a simple Oil change the shop tech moved my seat in 2 different adjustment positions down and all the way back and moved all the inside air vents. For what purpose was this? They had to drive the truck less than 50ft.

Slow air leak in Rt. Front wheel. Was told a new wheel would be required because wheel was bent. I bought car used in 2019 and haven't hit any curbs or potholes, probably previous owner. Was suggested to return on a Monday when wheelwright was at dealership for further evaluation. I was at dealership on Monday, 9/22 as scheduled and fortunately wheel specialist was able to straighten out bend in wheel, much less than the cost of a new wheel.

I was able to easily make an appointment with John Hiester Chevrolet for the State inspection for my car. The personnel were friendly and professional. The inspection took less than an hour so I did not need to contact her.

The team has gotten so good and processing my fleet truck and communicating with me on what is going to be done and when. Very frustrated on the experience, but I do not blame the dealership. I purchased a 2022 corvette with 9500 miles, two weeks after purchase the car started showing check engine light with many codes. The transmission valve body had to be replaced, as a consumer it was frustrating to buy a car, GM certified and make your first payment while the car is in the shop, and you are not getting a lot of information except from online sources

Had car towed in for no start. Service manager called and told me that the car needed a new cam as it was broke as well as rear brakes cause rotors had rust on them and was quoted $3,990 to get car back running. When picked up car hadn’t been moved from where dropped off when towed in. No screws/bolts had been removed to pull valve cover off to even look at any internals in head of engine. (Marked on backside with tamper paint). Come to find out all it needed was a $40 cam shaft position sensor! Will never do business with them again and highly recommend to take your vehicles elsewhere!

Went in for an oil change. The mechanics found an oil pan seal leak, which they informed me. If it had continued it could have been bad for the engine. They are fixing the problem, which is under warranty.

I must say I'm not very pleased. I took my truck in for 2 issues and spent $2000 and it's still doing it. I tried to get upsold on something that didn't need service which now makes me wonder if the other services were even necessary. For the price I paid, I would have expected this to be fixed.

AI CSR overtalks the customer which is jot your brand, doesn’t introduce themselves as AI, offered to have a return call to answer my questions but never happened. AI text said my car was being diagnosed but was only assigned. Service team members said my car would be seen on day 1 but was until late day 2 when I re emphasized I needed it and there were no loaner cars, I scheduled my part with the parts & service team but some how they didn’t see this on the service comments and then the quote service gave was higher than the parts dept quote(service honored the parts dept quote)…. Service over promised during a holiday rush and u der delivered. My receipt said they had the car for 3 days so unsure why my service appointment on Wednesday wasn’t canceled when the the suv was towed in on Monday. In 5 years, this was the first time things were frustrating unlike hour normal brand. Will continue to use your services assuming it was due to the holiday rush!

I made an appointment on a Saturday expecting to spend a majority of my day in the dealership waiting for my oil change to be completed as that’s been my experience with other vehicles I’ve purchased from other dealerships. The entire staff and experience was fantastic ! Leading the way was Josh Johnson who had me at 'hello' with a very warm greeting and checked off all the boxes for first impressions and quickly washed away high anxiety when entering the dealership. For someone with not a lot of sales experience - Josh is light years ahead of his time and a 'Hidden Gem' to the Hiester team, I would of hand picked Josh doe to his personality, knowledge, patience and willingness to go out of his way to help the customer. The finance team and Gabrielle (hope I spelled right} was great to. The process of the sale went very smoothly and I was out the door that same day. I do feel like I chose the right manufacture of mid size trucks at the right dealership. Thanks everybody !

I utilized the valet service so I didn’t really have an experience “at” the dealership. My experience with the valet service team was excellent! The only complaint I have is I was sold the 2025 Equinox with the assurance of running boards in the future as I have arthritis and have trouble climbing in. It’s been over one year and still NO RUNNING BOARDS!!! At 85 years of age I can’t afford another car so feel I was mislead. Service at Heister is great and we’ve bought several cars from them but am upset I’ll soon be unable to get inside my beautiful car!

Very convenient, my car was taken in prior to my scheduled appointment time, I was even able to knock out a state inspection while I was there. This is my third time having my car serviced there and the team is wonderful. Max was my sales man that sold me the car and always makes his way over to say hello too. This team treats customers as family.

I came in for an inspection. I was greeted by name since I'm a regular customer that the Service Team knows; appointment went was expected. You really need to get your oil purchasing situation figured out. There's no reason an oil change for a 6.2 engine should be $200+ Heister should have enough buying power to make sure this is not the case. AND GM should not send out oil recommendations for the 6.2 without figuring out how to make the prices reasonable!
